I have utterly thrilling news! I’m talking run around the house squealing and jumping up and down news. One of my absolute favorite writers on this planet HAS A BOOK PUBLISHED. Not just a book, but one of the most delightful books I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve gotten to know the amazing Mirriam Neal through my dear writing group. I was given the complete honor of reading her novel, Paper Crowns, in its earlier stages, and I can honestly say I’ve never read a book with such whimsy and beauty. Not to mention Mirriam’s trademark of utterly loveable and charismatic characters. Seriously. I can’t stress enough how amazing her characters are. Luckily for you, I’m here to share a little about Mirri and her newly released book!
The Author
Mirriam Neal is a twenty-two-year-old Northwestern hipster living
in Atlanta. She writes hard-to-describe books in hard-to-describe
genres, and illustrates things whenever she finds the time. She aspires

The Book

I've actually been DYING to do a photoshoot with it ever since it came in the mail yesterday. It's just begging to be photographed. I'll also probably do a book review of it eventually, so expect photos of it then, Savannah! 😀

YESSSSSSH. I'm floating on air right now and it's not even my book! BUT PAPER CROWNS IS IN PRINT AND IT IS A HAPPY TIME.
SO MUCH PRETTY. Who designed the cover of that book? I love it to death!

I knoooow. o.o Dat cover. It's one of my most favorite covers of EVER. Sadly, I'm not sure who designed it. A friend of Mirriam's did it for her, but I don't know who. But she has some serious talent! I could stare at it all day.

She is most definitely a drop-dead gorgeous artist!. And I bet the story is just as wonderful as the cover (or, ya know, better)! Paper Crowns is SO on my TBR list :D.

I used to follow Mirriam's blog SO CLOSELY! And me and her would occasionally have random email conversations. I haven't checked her blog in forver tho. Idk what happened?? But I did get Monster when it was published, and I remember reading the first part of the Paper Crowns beta! And yes, even in just-started beta form, it was AMAZEBALLS. So jealous of her writing skills. XD
How fun! Mirri is the best. I shamefully have never read Monster. I keep meaning to buy it. Obviously it's amazing. Mirri couldn't write a bad story if she tried!
You need to get yourself a copy of Paper Crowns. It's so fun! Her writing skills… My word, that girl! She's just magical.

I love this book so much! *huggles it* Although if you're not into whimsy it may not be your thing… It's got a very simplistic but beautiful fairytale-type feel, which I adore, but isn't everyone's thing. So I completely understand not /everyone/ will love this book.
I know I've already said this before but…I MUST HAVE THIS BOOK!!! It's on my summer reading list, and I couldn't be more excited! IT JUST LOOKS SO. GOOD. *squeals and leaps around and throws candy* Whimsical tales are my absolute faaaave. Plus, it's a fairytale. With amazing characters. *dies*
