Know the Novel – Part Three: Words Written // A Writer’s Tag

We’re here. We made it. It’s DECEMBER! As writing events have wound down and we’re settling into the last bit of 2024, now is a great time to look back and reflect on our writing accomplishments.

Whatever the past few months looked like for you, I hope you celebrate what you did do. Every word counts. Every step forward. Nothing is wasted.

For the third and final part of Know the Novel, we’re taking time to acknowledge all that’s been accomplished and looking toward continuing onward!

KNOW THE NOVEL

What is Know the Novel?

Know the Novel is a 3-part tag for writers, one for each of these last three months of the year. Each part features ten questions you can answer on your own blog (or anywhere else on social media!). The questions focus on different parts of your novel and how the writing is progressing.

The tags go as follows:

OCTOBER

  • Part One: Introduce Your WIP – Back in October, it was such a grand time seeing what everyone was gearing up to work on. You can find the links to everyone’s posts HERE!

NOVEMBER

  • Part Two: Within the WIP – November was a big month of writing for so many, and we were treated to a little glimpse into the process. See all the posts HERE!

DECEMBER

  • Part Three: Words Written – And here we are! This month’s questions give us a chance to reveal how the writing went, share some snippets, and see what’s next. Continue on for the questions!

In Summary…

You can take the questions, answer them on your own social media platform of choice, and share your link in the linkup attached below so others can read about your novel writing adventure. Super simple and fun!

IMPORTANT NOTE: This linkup is open to any WIPs you have. Whether you did a writing challenge or wrote within your own time, it matters not! The point here is to just have fun and get a chance to share about your writing with others. You also by no means had to have joined in the previous linkups to do this one. Take any and all questions at any point in time. I would certainly be grateful for credit, but otherwise, there are basically no rules here. It’s simply for fun and to provide an easy way to keep your readers updated on your writing!

5. What do you feel needs the most work?

8. If you could have your greatest dream realized for this novel, what would it be?

9. Share some of your favorite snippets!

SHARE YOUR LINK

As always, you’re welcome to share the link to your post in the widget so everyone can read your posts!

Once your post is published, share the URL in the linkup widget below.

Part 3 of the linkup closes at midnight on December 31st. But absolutely feel free to answer these questions (or the questions in the previous linkups) ANY TIME! They’re free for the taking!

I cannot believe we are here in the final month of 2024. WHAT a year it’s been. I hope you give yourself a chance for a breath and to celebrate everything you’ve accomplished this year and enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones. You’ve earned it.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Know the Novel, whether you joined the linkup or read the posts and cheered your friends on—it all means so much. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s final posts!

Happy December! <3

It’s DECEMBER. I can hardly believe it! How was your November, friends? Are you taking a break or using the holiday break to continue and/or start some projects? What are you most looking forward to for the month? I’d love to hear about it!

Not to snatch-and-dash, but I have a tag to fill out, so…I’ll see you later. 😂
