2025 in Review // Life, Stories, & Reflections

We are almost to the end of 2025. It has been a year of stretching, growing, losing dreams and finding them again, and ever seeing that no matter the darkness, God's light never dims. 2025 felt like a fever dream. Sometimes I can't believe we only have a few weeks left. Was January just yesterday? Was it an eternity ago? Somehow it feels like both. It's not been an easy year, and yet as we reach its end and I look back at all that has taken place, in my heart I can say it's been a good year. It's…

Know the Novel: Part 3 // Project Sentient House

Hello, friends! Coming in today to do my side of the Know the Novel tag! This Fall FicFrenzy may have been my favorite yet. So I invite you to join me for a while as I reflect on the wild, exhausting, blessed month of writing. The 4th annual Fall Fiction Frenzy Writing event ended at 11:59 pm on November 15th, and I reached the end with so much gratitude. It's been a tough year, I won't sugarcoat that. In this single year, my creativity has been in a lot of limbo with good seasons, amazing seasons, dry seasons, and seasons…

Know the Novel: Part 2 // Writing Project Sentient House

It has been a wild few weeks of writing! And I come to you bleary-eyed and a little dazed to peek out of the flurry of storymaking and give a little update. It's been a frenzied few weeks of writing (and not enough sleep *cough*) indeed, and I'm excited to share a little of the madness. I'll be answering the questions from the Know the Novel tag.…

An Update: Finding Hope Again + Announcements

Hello, friends! It's been quite some time, but life has continued on. I hope you'll grab your favorite beverage of choice and settle in for a while as we catch up! I last posted in January. With the start of a new year came a word. REFRESHMENT. After a difficult 2024, I was in great need of refreshment and renewal, of rest and recovery. 2025 has been anything but refreshing. Life has been chaotic. Instead of my heart surgery getting me to a healthier place as I thought it would, my health has been worse than it ever has been.…

2024 in Review // Stories, Writing, Life, & Lessons

2024. What a year it's been. I cannot claim it's been my favorite year. There have been a lot of hardships in these almost 12 months. But goodness has there been so much growth and blessings in all of it. The countdown to the end of 2024 is upon us, and as we're rapidly reaching 2025, I've been doing a lot of reflecting on the year. This year was one of stretching. Of finding contentment in the hardships, seeking peace in the storms, and being brave in each day. I cannot claim to have handled it all with grace and…

I live! // An Update, Know the Novel, & FicFrenzy

Hey, friends! I do in fact LIVE. And I'm poking my head in from my hiatus for a little life update and to announce some exciting upcoming things. Whew. It's been quite the past couple of months. In my last post, I mentioned that I needed mitral valve replacement surgery. I am very happy to say that is over and done with! I had surgery on July 19th and have been recovering ever since. It wasn't all smooth sailing, but God was so good through it all. Strangely, the surgery itself was the easy part. I felt so much peace…
