Welcome, welcome to the opening of the fifth annual Silmaril Awards, where you get to nominate and vote on your favorite literary fantasy characters across ten different categories!
YES. It is that time again where we get to spend three-ish weeks celebrating all things fantasy characters. This will be my 2nd year as a host and I am so honored and thrilled to be a part of such an amazing group and bring YOU GUYS such an epic event. This is going to be a journey to remember!
So don your cloaks, grab your weapon of choice, and let’s embark on this mission…quest…thing.
What Are The Silmaril Awards?
Alrighty, so you may be scratching your head thinking, “Where am I? Who am I? I have no memory of this place???” Never fear, questers. Gather ‘round and I shall tell you a tale…
Once upon a time the most esteemed and illustrious wizards, Jenelle Schmidt and DJ Edwardson, knew something was lacking in the world. Awards were bestowed all across the land to a wide array of people groups—actors, singers, sports players, and more. And yet there was a certain group that received no such gifts—great beings, noble beings, dastardly beings, impish beings, innumerable kinds, but memorable all. Ones who deserved far more recognition than they received.
Yes, these beings were known as fictional characters.
To right the wrongs of man and fill that chasmal gap in the land, Jenelle and DJ orchestrated a new type of awards ceremony, one spread out across the vast blogosphere to touch the far reaches of the world.
Rules were set in place, hosts were gathered, and ten great categories were forged. Those who wish to participate may nominate and second their favorite fantasy characters in each award, giving them the recognition they truly deserve, and then vote for the top chosen to receive a coveted Silmaril, an award of all awards, named after the great works of the most renowned author of the land—J.R.R. Tolkien himself.
And so The Silmaril Awards was born!
AHEM.
Basically, this is just an excuse to geek out over our favorite fantasy characters, ‘cause we book lovers gotta do that now and again. It’s literally like the Oscars for literary fantasy characters! I KNOW. IT IS EPIC. Because, come on, fictional characters deserve ALL the recognition. I mean, sheesh, do you know how many times the world has been saved by these people? (Or almost destroyed if we’re talkin’ villains.) Seriously now.
So let’s get to how all this works so you guys can start nominating! (Don’t worry, it’s all super simple.)
How Does It Work?
There are ten Silmarils in all, each presented in ten different categories—Most Epic Hero, Most Faithful Friend, Most Nefarious Villain, etc., etc. Ten of us hosts each have a category on our blogs, and in the comments of our posts you get to nominated and second (or third, fourth, fifth, etc.) the characters YOU think deserve to win in that chosen category. Then we will tally the seconds and the top five will get to move on to the voting round. After the votes are closed, the awards ceremonies begin!
-
Week 1: Nominations – Aug. 31 – Sept. 4
This week you will be nominating your favorites in the comment sections of the presenters’ blogs. You can also “second” characters others have nominated by replying to their comment and saying you second that character.
You can nominate and second however many characters you want!
-
Week 2: Voting – Sept. 7 – 11
Once nominations are closed, us presenters will tally up how many “seconds” each nominated character received. The top 5 in each category with the most seconds will move on to the voting round! You will vote for your favorite out of those 5 in each category via a voting form we’ll provide.
This is simultaneously the easiest and hardest part of the awards. The actual voting is just a manner of a few clicks, but it’s the CHOOSING who to vote for that always gives me an existential crisis or two. Good times, good times.
-
Week 3: Awards Ceremony – September 14 – 25
AND SO IT BEGINS. Over the course of two weeks (excluding the weekends), one by one each blog host will provide the awards ceremony for their chosen category and announce which esteemed character won said category! Oh yeah, and have I mentioned yet that each award is presented by specific Tolkien characters??? *BEAMS*
Though things are pretty simple and straightforward, we do have a few rules in place, so do be sure to peruse those before getting in your nominations.
The Rules
1.) Tolkien’s characters are NOT eligible to be nominated. We see them as the Ultimate Standard in fantasy fiction and thus choose to give them the honor of presenting The Silmaril Awards. Basically, we already think they won. This will give some other characters a chance to shine, ‘cause otherwise every single year it’d just be Tolkien characters who take home the prize, am I right?
2.) Characters from LITERARY FANTASY ONLY can be nominated. That means no characters from TV shows, movies, or video games. Books only! As well as no sci-fi, dystopian, etc. (Yes, this excludes poor Katniss since her story is, in fact, not fantasy.) WITH THAT SAID, if you can make a strong argument that a certain book IS fantasy, we will discuss it and get back to you. (For ex. The Lunar Chronicles is allowed. Though, yes, it’s sci-fi, it also has fantastical aspects.)
3.) We ask you to MENTION THE BOOK the character you’re nominating is from. As hard as we try to be well-read, we haven’t read everything. (Alas, ‘tis a tragedy indeed.) We definitely need to know from which story each character hails, please and thank you. And mentioning the author is always a plus too.
4.) There are NO LIMITS TO NOMINATIONS OR SECONDS. Remember, the TOP 5 characters in each category who get the most seconds moves on to the voting round. So go wild nominating and seconding ALL your favorites!
5.) With that said, AUTHOR’S CANNOT NOMINATE THEIR OWN CHARACTERS. But definitely encourage your readers to do so for you! *wink, wink* *nudge, nudge* And of course the book needs to actually be published to qualify.
6.) PREVIOUS WINNERS CANNOT BE NOMINATED AGAIN. The Silmarils are Lifetime Awards. So characters who have won in the past cannot be nominated again in that specific category. Though you are welcome to nominate them in another category. For a list of previous winners, check out the Past Awards Section of the website.
7.) HAVE FUN! This is nonnegotiable. Do not pass-go, do not collect $200. Have the time of your life…or else. *cue mysterious, eerie music*

ALRIGHTY. Now that we’ve got the stuffy official jargon out of the way, let’s get to the real fun!
My Category
For this year, I shall be hosting the award for…
MOST MISCHIEVOUS IMP
Ahh yisss. For anyone who’s read like…anything I’ve written, you know I have an affinity for those little troublemakers. *grins*
This category is for the mischief-makers, the lovers of tomfoolery, the pranksters, the sly-handed little rascals who may have “accidentally” set ablaze the biggest fireworks or flooded the school hallways. Whether they’re causing harmless pranks or truly dastardly shenanigans, somehow we can’t help but grin and giggle over their nonsense. They worm their way into our hearts one antic at a time.
And they also tend to like shiny things, so how about we give one of them such a treasured possession!
Comment below with your nominations for your favorite literary fantasy Most Mischievous Imps!
Previous Winners for this Category:
- 2019 Crispin Beasley from The Afterverse
- 2018 Peter Pan from Peter Pan
- 2017 The Weasley Twins from Harry Potter
That means those characters are NOT eligible to be nominated in this category as they have already earned their lifetime Silmaril.
Also, apparently being a host means I have to house literally every single imp nominated until after the awards ceremony. Last year I had to deal with the Least Competent Henchmen and I’m pretty sure my house almost caught on fire on at least three and a half occasions during that ordeal. But I fear hosting a slew of imps isn’t going to fare much better. I’ve already padded the walls, removed any sugar and glue from the house, and tossed shiny things all around as distractions from mischief. So…we’ll see if I still have my sanity (and my house) by the end of all this. >.>

LET’S TALK!
Who’s excited? *flails hand wildly in the air* Let’s get this thing going!
Nominate for your favorite Most Mischievous Imps below!
This is so fun, and I am excited for all the chaos the following weeks will hold. ^.^ (I’m hoping you have home insurance, with a special clause about how you aren’t liable for damages caused by troublesome fantasy creatures?)
I nominate Eugenides, from the Queen’s Thief series!
Seconding Eugenides!
I second!
I second Eugenides!
I second Eugenides!
So glad you’re excited, Sarah!!! ME TOO. (Now that would be a good thing to look into. I really should have upped my insurance before the awards started. ;D)
Oh man, I’ve been meaning to read the Queen’s Thief books for AGES. I MUST DO THAT!
I second Eugenides!
Seconding Eugenides!

I’m going to start out by nominating Twinkle from House of Many Ways by Diana Wynne Jones because OF COURSE. XD
Ha yes I’ll second Twinkle!
Yes. I second.
I second Twinkle!!
Question: if I follow Kenzie’s blog but don’t have Instagram, will it still count?
I don’t have Instagram either and have also been wondering this…
@Kendra and Maya – Oh dear! Thank you for pointing that out! I don’t know if that was a typo or what. I’ll ask the others and get back to you as soon as I can!
Alrighty, girls! It was just a typo and is all fixed now. No need for an IG account at all to gain that specific entry. ^_^
I second Twinkle!
Seconded!
I SECOND TWINKLE
YES. Second!
I nominate:
Mat Cauthon from the Wheel of Time series
Bramble from Where the Woods Grow Wild
Robin from the Squire’s Tale series by Gerald Morris
Lift from the Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson
Seconding Mat!
I second Lift!
I second Bramble! (I had nominated him for the strangest character category before I realized he fits this one a little better.)
I second Bramble!
Seconding Bramble!
Oh man, I haven’t read ANY of these books. *hides face in utter shame* Though I am a bit familiar with Bramble because he made it to the finals last year in the Least Competent Henchman category, which I was hosting. It seems little Bramble gets around! 😀
I second both Mat and Lift!
I second Lift
Seconding Mat!
I second Mat and Lift
Seconding Mat!
I’d like to second Robin from the Squire’s Tale (by Gerald Morris)
A second for Bramble!
I also second Robin. 😀
Oh yeah, seconding Mat and Lift for sure!!
So this is the Silmaril Awards… *.* It sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun!!!
I hope your house doesn’t get too damaged XD
I nominate twins Nicholas and Nicoline from The Rose and the Balloon by Kirsten Fichter.
Second the Rose and Balloon twins!
Aww yes seconding Nicholas and Nicoline!
IT IS A BLAST, JEN! We always have a ton of fun, and I’m so thrilled you get to join this year!
Nicholas and Nicoline OH MY GOODNESS. I ADORE them! That is a brilliant nomination! 😀
I am having a blast nominating and seconding everywhere! I am SO glad I’m able to participate!!!
I think those rascally twins deserve an award for their shenanigans! They are my favorite characters! ^_^
I am also collecting quite the list of books I need to read… ;p XD
So glad you’re having fun!!!
My TBR goes up ridiculously high after every single Silmaril Awards. ‘Tis a problem. XD A good problem, but a problem. Lol.
*nods solemnly while grinning like a Cheshire cat* A very good problem indeed. XD
Awwwww!!! I just died of happiness. XD I definitely miss following the twins’ shenanigans, so I think *le subtle cough* I’ll just have to revisit them sometime.
YES. REVISIT THEM. We neeeeed more of the twins! NEED.
I agree with Christine!!! We NEED more of the twins!!!<3 ^_^
I nominate Nidawi Everblooming from Shadow Hand
Second!
Seconding!!
AH YES. Nidawi is fabulous!
I second Nidawi!
I second Nidawi!
I second Nidawi!
Second!!
I nominate Henrietta from N.D. Wilson’s 100 Cupboards series! 😀
Henrietta! <3 I second.
Second!!
Hey! I’ll second her!
Oh man, I’ve only ever read the first book in that trilogy and shamefully barely remember anything. o.o It is HIGH TIME I reread it AND the other two! I remember thoroughly enjoying the first one!
Seconding Henrietta.
I’ll second Henrietta!
I nominate:
Achan Cham (Blood of Kings trilogy by Jill Williamson)
Hugh Whitby (Curse and Consequence by Savannah Jezowski)
ACHAN!!! 😀
ACK. I keep forgetting I need to read Curse and Consequence. NEED. I have it on my Kindle so YES. Gotta do that sooner rather than later!
I second Achan!
I wonder…are the Silmarils really that great a prize? Starting Silmarillion and I can tell they’ll be disasters…though maybe it’s indicative of authors handing their characters angst as rewards…
Anyway. Can I nominate Leo Valdez from Heroes of Olympus (is that fantasy? Or is it more urban fantasy)? Or Elle from KM Shea’s Beauty and the Beast… Does Kalmar/Tink from the Wingfeather Saga count? Is Zayd (from Christine here’s fairy tales shorts) an imp or is he more of a snarky crank? *do I even know what fantasy is?*
I’ll second Tink!
Also, the comparison of Silmarils as rewards to authors handing their characters angst is GREAT. I mean, poor characters if it’s true, but it’s a great comparison.
I second Tink/Kalmar!
Oh my word. Authors handing their characters angst as awards is the best (and most accurate) thing I’ve ever heard. We authors are so nice like that. XDD
All those books totally count as fantasy! Sub-genres of fantasy still absolutely go in the overall fantasy genre. So you are good! And the Wingfeather Saga characters ALWAYS get nominated in multiple categories, and some have even win I believe. What’s shameful is I haven’t even read that series yet. I FAIL AT LIFE. I must do that one day!
Also, Zayd is totally an imp sometimes. XD But I’m not sure he could be nominated since he’s not from an actually published book. But I am so completely honored you wanted to nominate one of my own characters! EEP. That made my day! (And I feel like Zayd would actually be super proud to be nominated for an imp award. He prides himself in his mischief. *shakes head*)
I WANTED TO NOMINATE ZAYD, but I figured I wasn’t allowed. We love Zayd and he deserves the world.
AWK. I’m so honored!!!
But also SHHHH. Don’t let Zayd hear you say such a thing. He may take it seriously and actually try to take over the world. o.o
Actually…on second thought, he’d be way too lazy to attempt that. Never mind. XD
XDD. Aww, that’s a shame…I love Zayd. (And back off, genie, you don’t want the world. Trust me.)
But continuing with the angst…
Second Tink
I second Leo Valdez!
I second Leo and Tink!
I second Kalmar/Tink
I second Tink!
I’ll second Tink.
I second Leo!
Seconding Leo Valdez!
I second Leo Valdez! <3
ZAYD WOULD BE PERFECT! He needs to be published, Christine. Really.
Seconding Kalmar/Tink!
AWK. The Zayd love is making me grin so big. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up making a Faylinn novel. That wasn’t the plan, but my muse never lets me follow “The Plan”, so. XD Ya never know!
*cough*Iwouldbuyeverycopy*cough*
YOU PRECIOUS SOUL. <3
Seconding Tink!
I second Leo Valdez!
(And yeah… a SIlmaril is NOT what I would want to have–don’t want any of the Sons of Feanor coming after me, thanks… or Morgoth… or like, half of the people in Beleriand…)
The angst idea, though, is spot on.
I second Tink!
Seconding Kalmar/Tink!
I’m going to nominate Puck from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Having just rewatched the 1935 version… boy, he’s just about the definition of a mischievous imp in that one. 😛
There’s also the version from “The Sisters Grimm”, who’s also quite mischievous, but a bit more annoying. I guess I’ll nominate him too. (Watch out for his pranks, Christine. They’re very messy.)
I may nominate more if I remember them.
YES. Puck is like the Father of Imps. Literally the epitome of a fictional imp. You gotta love ‘im. XDD
Ooooh, I have the first 3 of The Sisters Grimm books and yet…have not read a one of them. *hangs head in shame* But now hearing there’s a Puck character, I’m even more excited to read them!
Yes. Nominate ALL the Pucks! ;D (Although I may regret saying that since they are officially staying at my house. Having two Pucks alone is going to get…interesting. o.o)
I’ll second BOTH Pucks!
I second both Pucks as well!
I don’t know how well he fits but my mind is stuck on Calcifer from Diana Wynne Jones’ Howl’s Moving Castle. So I’m nominating him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
CALCIFER!!! I totally think he counts. He definitely gets in some mischief sometimes. XD
I second Calcifer!!!
I second Calcifer!
YES TO CALCIFER. I second.
I second Calcifer!
He totally fits into multiple categories. A second for Calcifer!
I nominate Prince Colin from the “Tales of Ambia” series by Allison Tebo!
YESSS!!! I was hoping someone would nominate him! 😀 The boy is such a prankster, I can’t even. XDDD
Second Colin
Oooh! I totally second Colin!!! I just started reading the Tales of Ambia (thanks to you, Christine 😀) and they are the BOMB!
Aaaahhh you’re reading Tales of Ambia! That makes me SO HAPPY. They are seriously just the most delightful stories of ever. <3
SECONDED!
I second Colin!
I might be breaking the rules here (someone please tell me if this doesn’t count), but can I nominate The Niffler from JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them? I know it’s technically a movie, but it’s ALSO a novel/screenplay. So…? XD
The Niffler is so great!!! <3 I’m not sure if he counts or not, so we’ll have to discuss it! (But man, he’d sure love getting such a shiny object as a Silmaril. XDD)
YEAHHHHH SILMARILS ARE HEEEEEERE!!!
Nominating Keefe from Keeper of the Lost Cities 🙂
*HAPPY DANCING* I’m excited tooooo!
Yet another series I have shamefully not read. It looks so fun! I NEED to give it a try!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH KEEFE!!!! I mean, oh, I’m a totally normal person, not obsessed in this series at all. I second him so hard.
I second Keefe!
I second Keefe! I just started reading this series and I am seriously hooked. Keefe miiiiight be my favorite. Though Dex is also awesome (someone should go nominate him in the faithful friend category, I can’t because I’m running that award this year and I have to reserve my vote if we need a tie-breaker!)
I SECOND KEEFE!!! I fell in love with that boy in the first book! I mean, really, how can you not adore his snark?
Ooh, yes, I just started reading it too! And I’m loving them so far. 😃*gasps* Great idea! *scurries over to nominate Dex*
Seconded!!
I nominate Mulch Diggums from the Artemis Fowl series.
MULCH, YASSS
Oh yes, Mulch! 😀 I’ve only read the first Artemis Fowl book, and it’s been a while, but I remember thinking he was GREAT. Definitely an odd little guy. XD
Second!!
I nominate Fink from The Ascendance Trilogy
Another series I’ve been meaning to read but sadly haven’t yet! Clearly I need to get busy reading. XD
I second Fink!
I second Fink.
*gasp* I second Fink, he’s perfect!
I second Tink (Wingfeather), Puck (Midsummer), Keefe (Keeper), Mulch (Artemis), Fink (Ascendance), and the niffler (if it counts… please tell me it counts…)
I nominate Iggy from Keeper of the Lost Cities and Reepicheep from Narnia.
I second Reepicheep!
Reepicheep is a great idea! He definitely gets into some mischief now and again. Hehe.
Hmm, I’ll second Reepicheep! I think he counts, especially in “Dawn Treader”.
I second Iggy and Reepicheep!
Seconding Reepicheep!
I LOVE Reepicheep It’s sad he’s only in two books 🙁 I’ll second him
I second Lift, Achan, and Puck!
I second Leo Valdez from Heroes of Olympus, Iggy from Keeper of the Lost Cities, and Tink/Kalmar from the Wingfeather Saga.
I nominate Hawthorne Swift from Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow, which is a criminally underrated book.
I’ve heard of that one but unfortunately have not read it. It looks like such a fun read though!
I nominate Aken Shou from Strayborn by E.E. Rawls
Also seconding Twinkle from House of Many Ways
Seconding Aken 🙂
I nominate Hugh Whitby from Curse and Consequence by Savannah Jezowski
Aaaahhh I must read that story sometime soon! I’ve heard such delightful things about it!
Seconding Tink (Wingfeather Saga) and Fink (Ascendance Trilogy)
Oh, oh! Also I nominate the Nac Mac Feegle clan from the Discworld Tiffany Aching books by Terry Pratchett! Gotta love the Feegles and their shenanigans! 😂
I seriously need to meet the Feegles. (We’re not going to talk about how I’ve read NONE of the Discworld books. *cough, cough*)
I highly recommend starting with Guards! Guards! and reading the City Watch story arc first. They are hilarious and the characters are AWESOME.
OH. And that’s actually one I own, so that would be a very convenient place for me to start. Thanks for the advice! Sometimes I get overwhelmed by all the Discworld stuff which always keeps me from diving in. XD But one of these days I’m gonna take the plunge!
I second the Feegles!
Seconding Tink, Calcifer, Colin, and Aken Shou!
Oh! I forgot! I’m going to nominate both Pet and Jinyeong from W. R. Gingell’s The City Between series.
Second both Pet and Jin-Yeong.
I hope to read those books SOON. I just discovered W.R. Gingell this year and have been devouring her Two Monarchies books. I love them SO MUCH.
I second Pet xD
Second Pet and Jinyeong

I nominate the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland… unless someone else already has 😛
I second the Chesire Cat!!!
The Cheshire Cat needed to be nominated. Thank you, Merie! He is an imp for sure. XD
I second the Cheshire Cat!
I second the Cheshire Cat!
I second the Cheashire Cat.
I second the Cheshire Cat!
I second that! Quite a few of the Wonderland characters are rather mischievous, really.
I nominate Sorrel from Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke! (It’s been awhile since I’ve read the book, but I believe she had a mischievous streak.)
Oh, I’ve been meaning to read that one!
You should ^_^
It has a bit of language, if memory serves correct, but it’s no worse than Inkheart was, I think… like I said, it’s been awhile since I last read it, lol 😉
I nominate the Dufflepuds from The Voyage of the Dawntreader!
That’s such a fun one! I love that idea! 😀
I am definitely seconding the Dufflepuds just imagine how insane it would be to have to give the award to all of them at the SAME time
LOL!!! That would be utter choas! XD I can just imagine the stampede of Dufflepuds swarming to get the award! XD
*ahem* Sorry for ruining your house, Christine… XD
At this point I’m just hunkering down and hoping to goodness nothing explodes. I’m learning to tune out the never-ending noise. And hey, I’m getting a good stockpile of whoopie cushions and other assorted items. You won’t believe the stuff these people just leave lying around. XD
Haha! Sooo, I guess you wouldn’t want me to give them this plate of cookies and box of firecrackers I just happen to have on hand…? XD
GOOD GRACIOUS. HIDE THEM. HIDE THEM QUICK. I’ve been trying to ban all sugar, but these crazy people keep somehow acquiring more. 😛
…oops… Sowwy, but Nicholas and Nicoline snatched them from me before I could hide them and have now imprisoned me unless I promise to bring more… HALP!!!! XD
Oh, so it’s YOU who’s screaming and banging on my closet door. I’ve gotten so used to the noise, I barely even noticed. WELCOME TO THE PARTY, JEN. You’re now part of the chaos! 😀
*grins mischievously* Thanks for finally letting me out! XD I LOVE what you’ve done with the place! You should really give me Madam Mayhem and Count Chaos’ number, I’ve been meaning to redecorate my place for ages. XD
Why thank you, madam. *shoves candy wrappers under the bed, throws fireworks out the window, and tosses hand buzzers in the closet* It’s still a work in progress.
*winces at crashing noises in the hallways and explosions in the backyard*
A constant work in progress. >.>
XD *Surreptitiously pulls out another box of firecrackers and tosses them down the stairs to the awaiting twins*

It is definitely gettin’ wild around here. I’ve tried to ban sugar but SOMEHOW they keep sneaking some in. >.>
ROOK YES! And oooh, Walter! :O I don’t know why I’ve never thought of him for this category. I wholeheartedly approve!

Would Luck from Spindle by W.R. Gingell fit in this category?
Oh my gosh, STEFAN. YES. I wholeheartedly approve! He and Carina were such a force together. XDD
Luck would 112% qualify and I am delighted someone is nominating that ridiculous man!
Second Luck
I Nominate
Phoney Bone from Jeff Smiths Bone
he’s pretty mischievous wait… scratch that, he’s Incredibly mischievous
Later I might think of other imps
I’m not familiar with Bone, but I’m looking it up now and it looks super fun!
Okay, actually, I’ve been talking with the other hosts and we decided graphic novels can’t qualify, since we just want to stick with literature. (But I still want to check this out! I really enjoy graphic novels and have been wanting to find more!)
Yes, you should check it out! It’s so good! I’m a bit annoyed that it can’t qualify, but I’m glad somebody else is getting interested in it anyway!

Zad from Halayda
I have been so meaning to read that one!
Oh my goodness, Christine. You are a brave soul, willingly housing the MISCHIEVOUS IMPS, of all things. I wish you the best of luck. XD

It’s fine. Everything’s fine. *sips coffee while the house burns down around me*
I second Puck and Nidawi.
I nominate Tinkerbell from Peter Pan. Talk about mischievous!
I second Tinkerbell!!!
I second Tinkerbell!
I absolutely second Tinker Bell!!
TINK. YES! Such a fabulous idea!
Yep, I’ll second that little fairy, all right.
I totally second Tinkerbell!
Of course I’ll second Tinkerbell!
I second Mulch Diggums.
I second the Dufflepuds, Walter, Sage, and Anastasia and Alexei.
I second:
Puck (Midsummer Night’s Dream–Yay, Shakespeare!!)
Reepicheep & the Dufflepuds (from Narnia)
Nidawi the Everblooming (Go, Goldstone Wood!!)
Leo Valdez (Heroes of Olympus)
Julio (Afterverse)
Also, can I just say, I adore all the talk about the shenanigans going on up in your house? Imagining all the fictional fantasy imps in one place is super fun. I guess it’s probably a big hassle, but hopefully fun hassle? 😛
Oh, we’re having a blast! I mean, it’s something akin to having nearly 50 toddlers in my house but, ya know, you do what you gotta do. Also there’s been talk of playing pranks on the villains, so that’s a good time. I’m very much being educated on how to cause mischief. *cackles and rubs hands together*
QUICK REMINDER TO ALL: Nominations close at 11:59 CST tonight (September 4th). Any nominations and seconds won’t count after that time, so do be sure to get any last minute voting in before then!
(Also I’m immensely enjoying all this impish goodness in my comments. You guys have come up with some fantastic ones!)
Julio (Crocket and Crane)

There was something so utterly perfect about imaging YOU being the den mother to mischievous imps – I mean it fits so nicely. And I mean that in the most flattering and admiring and wonderful way. Honestly, I think you would be an imp’s dream come true when it comes to baby-sitters. You’re so FUN. Plus, comforting and you take care of them when they really need it – lol!
While I didn’t comment on all of the Silmaril Award posts, you can bet I read them, and cackled and rolled at your way with words and humorous imaginary anecdotes. Loved it! You’re so talented, Christine. <3
A wizard is never late now, and if anyone’s a magical, fabulous wizard, it is definitely YOU! 😀
D’AWWWW!!! It’s 100% flattering to me that I putt off the air of someone who’d be a good imp babysitter. Bwahahaha! I do like me some mischief now and again. I’m grinning so much right now. XDD
I’m so glad you enjoyed them! It was SUCH a fun year!!! 😀 And oh my goodness, thank you, girl! YOU ARE JUST TOO KIND I CAN’T. <3
