Know the Novel – Part Three: Words Written // A Writer’s Tag

We’ve made it, friends! A season of frenzied writing has come to a close, and as golden days shift to the soft hues of winter, it’s time to take a breath and celebrate everything we’ve accomplished.

Who else is in shock that December is here? The final month of 2023, friends! It’s mindblowing. But whatever this year looked like for you, please take time to remember everything you did. Every word, every step forward is worth celebrating. Life is not about reaching the finish lines but ever moving forward. That is the true win.

For the third and final part of Know the Novel, we’re taking time to reflect on all that’s been accomplished and looking toward continuing onward!

Here we go!

KNOW THE NOVEL

What is Know the Novel?

Know the Novel is a 3-part tag for writers, one for each of these last three months of the year. Each part features ten questions you can answer on your own blog (or anywhere else on social media!). The questions focus on different parts of your novel and how the writing is progressing.

The tags go as follows:

OCTOBER

  • Part One: Introduction – For the first part, we got a firsthand look at everyone’s WIPs—the premise, the characters, and all the brilliance to come. You can find the links to everyone’s posts HERE!

NOVEMBER

  • Part Two: Within the WIP – In November, those brilliant ideas began coming to life, and the curtains were pulled back via the tag to allow a peek at how the writing was progressing. See all the posts HERE!

DECEMBER

  • Part Three: Words Written – Here we are at last! Time to reveal how the the writing went overall, from the best parts to the…not best to snippets and plans for the future. See the questions below!

In Summary…

You can take the questions, answer them on your own social media platform of choice, and share your link in the linkup attached below so others can read about your novel writing adventure. Super simple and fun!

IMPORTANT NOTE: This linkup is open to any WIPs you have. Whether you did a writing challenge or wrote within your own time, it matters not! The point here is to just have fun and get a chance to share about your writing with others. You also by no means had to have joined in the previous linkups to do this one. Take any and all questions at any point in time. I would certainly be grateful for credit, but otherwise, there are basically no rules here. It’s simply for fun and to provide an easy way to keep your readers updated on your writing!

As always, I’d love it if you shared your link in the widget so everyone can read your posts!

Once your post is published, share the URL in the linkup widget below.

Part 3 of the linkup closes at midnight on December 31st. But absolutely feel free to answer these questions (or the questions in the previous linkups) ANY TIME! They’re free for the taking!

We MADE IT. Christmastime is HERE and am I looking forward to a month of family time and all the goodness that comes with the season (and maybe also a nap or two). I will be sharing more about my year soon, but I will say now, it’s been a blessed one. Certainly not without its stresses, but blessed all the same.

I do hope you take time for a breath and reflection for this final month of the year and remember all that you’ve grown into and accomplished. And a major thank you to everyone who participated in Know the Novel. You each make it such a fun event every single year. I cannot wait to see your final posts!

Happy December! <3

Talk to me, friends! Can you believe it’s the final month of 2023? How did November go for you? Are you taking a break from things or continuing with some projects? And what are you most looking forward to for the month? I want to hear about it all!
